STICKERSPACE.COM: intergalactic sticker exchange

instructions on how to create a SASE are below.

Got stamps? Get stickers! If you want to get people who create original stickers to send you a free sticker you see here, probably you ought to know what a SASE is.  StickerSpace sticker creators often want to send you a sticker, to spread the word about their projects.  But you should pay the postage, not them.  So here’s how you can do that, IF the sticker creator put their snailmail address in their sticker description.

SASE stands for a “self-addressed stamped envelope.”

Here’s how you make one:

  1. Get two envelopes.
  2. On the first envelope, write your address in the center (or “to:”) area of the envelope, and write their address on the top left (or “return”) address area.
  3. On the second envelope, do the opposite:  write their address in the center, and your address in the top left.
  4. Stamp both envelopes with a 44c (first class) stamp.
  5. Fold up the FIRST envelope.
  6. Put the folded up first envelope IN the second envelope.
  7. Seal the second envelope with the first envelope inside it.  You can add a buck or more if you want to thank the creator, usually this will get you more stickers.
  8. Make some kind of note in a calendar that you sent it so you can follow up if you don’t get anything back.
  9. Put the envelope in the mail.
  10. Email them politely if you don’t get anything back.  If you do, however, happy sticker collecting eh?
